Exeter
Exeter brings hotel guests and locals together by Reykjavík’s old harbour. Having created the hotel’s previous website, we took the next step with the team: a clearer structure and more colour for a place with plenty to offer beyond its rooms.
A clearer introduction to the hotel and what it offers
The work began with a shared workshop on what could improve and what was missing. It informed the new structure and navigation, along with ideas for imagery developed with the hotel and Digido. Together, these made it clearer what guests can discover at Exeter and around it.
The design uses coloured blocks that connect around the words in each headline. They give the text a distinctive shape, both over photography and against dark backgrounds. The colours also appear in labels and buttons across the website.
