Privacy

Revera ehf., Borgartún 29, 105 Reykjavík, Iceland, is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. We collect as little as we can, and only what we use.

Questions and requests about your data go to hello@revera.is.

No cookies

This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else to follow you around. The only thing it keeps in your browser is a note that the intro has played, so it doesn’t repeat while you look around. It’s gone when you close the tab.

Visits

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are viewed, where people came from, which country, and what kind of device and browser. It works without cookies. A visitor is recognised for one day by an anonymous code that changes daily, so visits can’t be tied to a person or followed across days or websites. We only see totals.

Vera

When you talk to Vera, we keep what you write, her answers, which projects and products she showed you, and a random number that holds the conversation together for that visit only. Your IP address is used briefly to prevent abuse, but it isn’t stored.

Your messages are sent to Anthropic, which generates the answers, and Anthropic does not use them to train its models. Conversations are kept in Sanity, read only by the people at Revera, and used to improve Vera. They are deleted 12 months after the last message.

Please don’t share anything sensitive in the chat.

Enquiries

If you send us an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, website if you give one, and your message, by email through Formspree. We use it to reply to you, and keep it for as long as the conversation lasts — and, if we work together, for the length of the project.

Who handles the data

Vercel (United States) hosts the website and counts visits. Sanity (Norway) stores the site’s content and the conversations with Vera. Anthropic (United States) generates Vera’s answers. Formspree (United States) delivers enquiries to us.

Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on standard safeguards such as the EU’s standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell data or share it for advertising.

Links to other services, such as LinkedIn, take you to websites with their own privacy policies.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used, improving Vera, and replying to people who get in touch. An enquiry is also a step towards a contract, at your request.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive a copy. Send us a line at hello@revera.is.

If you think your data isn’t being handled properly, you can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd, at personuvernd.is.
