LESA
LESA is a reading game for children aged 5 to 7, designed and developed by Revera. Daily stories, activities and rewards are intended to make reading a habit children want to keep. Parents can follow their progress and keep track of reading at home.
A reason to read every day
LESA brings play into reading practice. A new illustrated story arrives each day, and children collect badges and rewards as they read. After fifteen minutes, they unlock a playground where they can customise their character and play word games. The aim is to give children a reason to return and make daily reading something to look forward to.
We have shaped the product and its visual world with the LESA team and outside specialists. 14islands helped establish the core flows and visual direction before we continued the design and developed the app. An editor reviews the stories, and collaboration with Iceland’s Centre for Education and School Services has informed the work.
